Infinix GT 30 5G+ teased in India with gamer-focused design and LED lights

The Infinix GT 30 5G+ is set to launch in India soon as a new gaming smartphone. It could be a more affordable alternative to the Infinix GT 30 Pro, which launched recently at a starting price of Rs 24,999. Based on early indications, the Infinix GT 30 may be priced under Rs 20,000. While specifications haven’t been revealed yet, the teasers focus heavily on the design.

The GT 30 borrows a lot from the Pro model, especially its signature Cyber Mecha Design 2.0. It features gamer-focused aesthetics, including customisable white LED lights at the back, similar to the Blade White version of the GT 30 Pro. The Dark Flare variant of the Pro gets RGB lighting for a flashier look. These lights can be customised for incoming calls, notifications, alerts, and more. The GT 30 is shown in a dark green colour with four white LEDs. It sports a dual-camera setup with an LED flash in the top-left corner.

The GT 30 is also equipped with GT Shoulder Triggers for console-like controls, designed to enhance gameplay precision and responsiveness. It comes with BGMI 90FPS certification from Krafton, promising smoother and more responsive gameplay. These features make it clear that the Infinix GT 30 is aimed squarely at gamers. Infinix says the phone “promises to push boundaries with esports-grade gameplay, standout aesthetics, and a focus on the real needs of India’s mobile gaming community.”

While specs for the Infinix GT 30 haven’t been confirmed yet, it’s expected to be a toned-down version of the GT 30 Pro. For reference, the Infinix GT 30 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display (144Hz), 108MP + 8MP dual rear cameras, and a 13MP front camera. The Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset powers the phone, and you get XOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box. In our review, we praised its performance, clean UI, and multitasking capabilities. However, we felt the cameras were a bit lacking, specifically in the lack of OIS support and in low-light photography.

The GT 30 Pro also handled graphically intense games like Genshin Impact with impressive thermal control. If the GT 30 follows a similar blueprint, users can expect solid gaming performance at a lower price point. The phone will be available via Flipkart and the Infinix India website. While an official launch date is yet to be announced, a late August debut seems likely.
